The goal
buy a crib and place it in the newly weds house. I already have a crib, so I placed it it the house but it won't let be finish the goal. Do I have to buy another crib?

Yes, you do need to buy a new crib because the Goal mentioned to "Buy a crib."
It's similar to " Buy a table..." I had encountered this goal a few times now and each time, I have to buy a new table and cannot use the ones I have in my inventory.
