Question for The Sims FreePlay

I have done the Santa quest (all seven steps) three times today. I am now trying for the fourth time. Every single time I get on, everything starts back at the Exact same place. And everything I have done today has not counted either (sending Sims to work, feeding them, buying things, basically anything you can do with your Sim). Is this a glitch? Will I ever be able to get out of this crazy loop? I was able to get past the first day ( I think by connecting my iPad to my computer) but now I am stuck in the same crazy loop on the next day.
I have just now received an answer from EA :
Manually changing the time and date settings may skip the event completely and cause other issues in your game with the party boat, daily rewards and careers. Unfortunately we are not able to correct this, so the only way to fix the issue is to reinstall your game and begin a new one. Downloading your save data from the Cloud will not help, as the change in settings is retained in your save data. You will need to be at least level 7 again to participate in the Christmas event.

I am at level 26 and am unaware of how to obtain the santa quest or red day quest, do I have to download anything. I am using kindle fire to play sims freeplay on?

This was a quest for Christmas 2012, do not think it is available anymore
