I've never heard of all that happening. I can offer a few solutions though, with my last being highly recommendable in your situation. First, try restarting your device and reinstalling the app after you save your progress to the cloud. If those don't fix anything than certainly get into contact with EA and tell them your situation. I'm sure they will be able to help you fix this.
