How do you kick a sim out of town?

Tap on the sim you no longer want. Then on the bottom of the screen tap on the icon that looks like a person. It will bring you into the Appearance changing screen. In the top left corner theres a red button. Press that and it will get rid of that sim.

If you don't want to get rid of the sim all you do is switch off to that character you want gone and then ask another sim to move let him/her move in. And there you go. You got the house to yourself.
