This happened to me too and the only thing I could think of was that it missed work...or maybe like in real life it was laid off. Lol.

Your Sim probably doesn't go to work, so it gets fired. If it does go to work then I don't know why it would lose it's Job. Usually the only reason it loses a job is because it either doesn't go to work or the game glitches.
