The food And Seeds purchased at the Supermarket are invenoried for when you next plant or bake- but the best part is it is cheaper to buy seeds and baked goods at the Supermarket so you save money in the long run.

What button

Yea what button?
Guest answered:

To use the super market, you go to The Town Map and you click on the button that you usually collect XP and it brings up a row of food for the oven and Seeds. But at your house, you can click on the seed plots or oven, the same thing comes up. They are used for Baking and seeds. In my opinion, I think there is no point on buying the supermarket because it's the same thing.

The supermarket saves time when your using birthday cakes so you can have your sims
Guest answered:

I've seen many comments that the market isn't any cheaper, but that is only for cheap Items. Cookies, carrots etc cost the same, but eg. Unions cost 125 instead of 137.

The supermarket is trash
Guest answered:

The Supermarket not only sells Seeds for a cheaper price, but you also earn XP at the time of purchasing from the market in addition to earning XP after you've planted the seeds.

I'm not sure what to think about The Grocery Store yet. I need to Age my toddler to a preteen. Buying the the cake directly from the stove is 5lp takes 1 day and I gain 1498 XP. If I get it from the market, it's still 5 LP, 1 day and I only gain 989 Xp .... The store is a rip off.. Just be careful what your buying...

No you gain 989 for buying it at the market plus 1598 for baking it
Guest answered:

This grocery store is a ripp off, your not even getting extra money for your purchase and your getting way less XP. There is no point in this grocery store wish I had never built it. Could have use the money for something else. What they should have done was made you pay more for the Items and give you more xps. And let them build instantly..

I thought the XP listed at the store was XP you got right at the time of purchase and you still get the plants' regular XP at the time of harvest. So whatever XP you see at the store is additional making buying from the store the better buy.
