How to get Extra Lives

Infernax is an old school adventure game and as you would expect it is filled with tough fights and tricky unforgiving platforming. Unlike many of those games in the past Infernax features extra lives which help make it more manageable. Extra lives in Infernax will enable you to resurrect upon death at the start of the room that you were killed in. This How to get Extra Lives guide will tell you two ways in which to get them.

Play Casual Mode

If you set Infernax to Casual mode you will not only make the game easier by having more checkpoints in the dungeons you will also get a free extra life at the beginning. In Casual mode you will also get some of the money you earned and XP back when you respawn after death. If you do not want to make the game easier and want the challenge of Classic mode then you will need to get your extra lives another way.

Speak to the Apothecary in Classic Mode

If you don't want to make Infernax easier and prefer the Challenge you will be able to get an extra life early in Classic mode. In order to do so you need to speak to the Apothecary in the first town of Darsov and purchase an extra life for 150 coins. The Apothecary in Darsov is the building that has a symbol above its door that looks like an eye. If you do not have the required 150 coins you will need to engage in combat with enemies on the outskirts of the town until you have acquired enough gold. You will also be able to grab another extra life in Arkos, which is the second town you come across in Infernax. It is recommended that you pick up both of these lives as doing so will help you get through the dungeons and discover all the game's secrets.
