Chapter 13: Exit the Dragon

Taking down the Triad

The Chapter opens with you at Joe's with some chicks -- when you get a call from Henry telling you that the deal has gone south in a big way.  The boss knows about it and wants a cut, which means you cannot pay off the Loan Shark!  You grab Joe and drive to Lincoln Park, where you meet up with Henry.  When you arrive Henry is being killed by Asian Tong members.  You take them out but Henry is dying and you see Wong driving away.

You need to follow Wong -- do not get too close, but do not get too far away either.  You follow him back to his headquarters at the Red Dragon Restaurant, but now you have to decide what to do -- head in now or go ti Harry's Army Navy to stock-up on weapons and ammo?  You are not calling the boss for help on this -- you cannot afford to reveal just how deep into this deal you were -- so forget getting help, that is not going to happen!

I checked my ammo and was good to go now, but if you are low on your main weapons you really should re-supply, as this is going to be shooting in the extreme!   All set?  When you are ready head for the dot on the map to trigger the CS and start the restaurant shoot-up mission.

This is a pretty simple situation -- kill the tong soldiers who are here, and then kill their reinforcements.  When they finally stop reinforcing PICK UP AMMO.  No kidding, you will need it.  Head up the stairs and on the left (back) side of the upper area you will find a magazine in the last booth (Playboy 41 of 50) so grab that now, and then follow Joe.

After you head upstairs a few more reinforcements will arrive downstairs, so take them out and then work your way through the kitchen and the halls behind it, being careful to always shoot from cover!  You head outside into a courtyard and into another building that turns out to be an Opium Den!  Carefully work your way through.

In the little cubbies (some are covered by curtains) you can see the customers flying high -- but in the one near the boxes with boxes in it is our next magazine (Playboy 42 of 50) so grab that now.  Once you have the magazine head to the rear of the area and take the lift down,   You end up in the opium processing area and Joe wants you to stealth through the area, so hey, are you ready for some stealth action?  For once Joe actually earns his keep, taking out one of the enemy soldiers himself!

As you work your way along you discover a drug lab where the stuff is being cooked up!  The door on the right side where the guy exited that Joe killed is their armory, and inside is a magazine (Playboy 43 of 50) so grab that straight away as it is the last one for this Chapter.  Grab whatever ammunition you need -- also grab grenades and Molotov's to help clear the lab.

When you take out the last tong soldier Joe heads for the lift at the far end of the room -- so follow him and use the button, then move down the hall to Wong's office, where you are in for quite a surprise!  Henry was a rat!  Joe wacks Wong and you two need to make like a tree and leave!

So no surprise, when we exit the underground lair we discover cops everywhere.  Lots of cops.  This could be a problem... If you are playing on Hard you cannot just run and jump into a car -- though if you are on the lower levels you can!

Remember those grenades you grabbed in the armory?  I hope you saved two -- pop one under the cop car to the left, and one to the right, and you can walk to a car and leave.  Ah but you still have a wanted level, so you need to get to Joe's without getting chased, as there is an odd bug in this mission so that any cop car that gets near your car when it is NOT flagged as hot still treats it like it is.  Your best bet is to change clothing at a Clothing Shop and then drive to Joe's. -- I grabbed a nice Lassiter 75 Limo (Cadillac) for my ride home :)

Getting to Joe's triggers a CS that pretty much sums up your situation -- and as Joe points out, your big problem is the money for Bruno.  The end of this CS unlocks the Achievement "Chop Chop" and signals the end of the Chapter!
