Attacking the Enemy Guide

As you cross land and sea in G.I. Joe War On Cobra you will launch assaults on enemy bases intent on raiding them for their matierials and supplies. Check out our Attacking the Enemy Guide to get some tips on how to best approach these fortified strongholds.

To succefully raid an enemy base in G.I. Joe War On Cobra requires a balanced team that has certain types of Units playing key roles . To begin the assault you should put tanks at the forefront to soak up all the incoming damage. There are several different heavily amoured personnel you can choose from, one of the best being Roadblock who also comes with defensive support and the leader skill Culinary Expert which enables him to heal and buff allied troops. Behind your tanks place units that can add extra DPS or single target damage to your team such as Steel Battalion or Baroness and use the firepower these units have to blast through the fortress in front of you. Make sure you have a Doc in your team as the medic plays a key role in keeping your team alive. Always keep your medic protected behind your army so they can provide a steady stream of healing. Rank Up your Doc whenver possible as doing so will enable them to gain more powerful healing which will help your army recover faster from damage.

At the beginning of your assualt on a base you should focus on taking out the most dangerouns buildings as soon as possible. Artillery, Rocket Salvos, Sea Lasers, and Missile Turrets can all cause a lot of damage to your army if their source is not quickly destroyed. A well placed Command Card or Lead Command can quickly eliminate these threats from the enemy base. Also use Command Cards strategically to cause chaos, like dropping an EMP Blast into a cluster of buildings to disable them temporarily while you destroy them or launch a Smoke Bombardment to move your army into the area to hide them in a cloud of smoke while you dismantle your opponent’s defenses. If you run out of Command Cards you will be forced to rely on the abilities of your leaders to get past an enemy's defenses so make sure you choose them wisely. Good choices are Duke who can call down air support to heal and increase the damage of your army and Snake Eyes who can call on his wolf, Timber, to damage and stun buildings.

Two important things to remember when raiding an enemy base is that you only get more energy from destroying buildings and having units in your team that you have no intention of using will not help you in the slightest.
