Question for Pokemon Ruby

How can I trade a Pokemon from ruby and a Pokemon from emerald? I have both version but it seems like they are just waiting for forever when I tried to trade them I used a link cable....... Please help me please.... Thanks in advance and I hope there is a clear step by step instruction for trading a Pokemon from ruby-emerald.......

I don't think you can trade Pokemon from ruby to emerald but if you want to trade from firered to emerald then beat the elite four in ruby/emerald and in firered help bill's friend with his machine that lets your trade Pokemon to hoenn on 1 island.

You can only trade Pokemon from ruby to Fire Red and Leaf Green version but you might be able to trade from Fire Red to Emerald I'm not sure..

You can, but only after you beat the elite four, and you also have to have Milotic, Wailord, and Relicanth in your team at the same time.
