They're very rare and called shiny pokemon. You just gotta search in the wild and hope you find one.Like Wailmer is pink in shiny form.

xebecer1913 answered:

Shinys are found at random throughout the game, and are exceedingly rare (I've only found 2 in the ten months I have had Ruby). Also, shiny magicarp are gold, not green (my brother has one at level 100 with 9 ribbons).

Cross Stinger answered:

First thing, Magikarp don't appear coloured green. These Pokémon are called 'shinies' popularly, and they occur in denominations that are extremely hard to find. It is also possible to find Legendary Pokémon that are miscoloured in this manner.

esemeli answered:

Really, it's just luck. I've logged around 100 hours on this game- I didn't know that they even existed until my sister caught one the other day, but they're so rare I don't waste my time trying to catch them. =) On Silver though, that's a different story.
