Question for Pokemon Ruby

Hi everyone!
Last time I submitted, I was complaining about not being able to beat the elite 4 with this team

Sceptile Level 53
attacks:
leaf blade
cut
slam
rock smash

Groudon level 53
attacks:
Slash
Bulk Up
Earthquake
Fire Blast

Swellow level 49
Attacks:
Fly
Wing Attack
Double Team
Aerial Ace

Golbat Level 42
attacks
Confuse ray
wing attack
aerial ace
mean look

Crawdaunt level 42
attacks:
surf
crabhammer
swords dance
strength

Duskull level 40
attacks:
shadow ball
night shade
curse
confuse ray

Now I took advice from Ruby101 Pokemaster & TY FF Master51391 (thanks to all 3 of you!)
And my team has gotten a lot stronger but not strong enough because I still can’t win against the elite 4! My new stronger team are

Sceptile Level 60
Attacks:
Leaf Blade
Cut
Strength
Hyper Beam

Groudon Level 54 (I think this pokemon is the hardest to raise)
Attacks:
Slash
Bulk Up
Earthquake
Fire Blast

Crobat Level 50
Attacks:
Wing attack
Confuse Ray
Fly
Sludge Bomb

Swellow Level 50 (also pretty hard to raise)
Attacks:
Fly
Wing Attack
Double Team
Aerial Ace

Pikachu Level 48 (I’ll probably evolve it soon)
Attacks:
Thunder Bolt
Thunder Wave
Double Team
Thunder

Gyarados Level 45
Attacks
Surf
Hydro Pump
Secret Power
Rain Dance

So there’s my team. So please I need help anything will do!

Thanks Heaps!

With Groudon get rid of bulk up. You should get a heart scale and teach it ancient power.

For Crobat, get rid of confuse ray. Teach it anything else.

For Swellow get rid of double team for triple peac or drill peck.

For Pikachu, get rid of double team and thunder wave for shock wave and return.

For Gyarados, get rid of rain dance for either dragon rage or thrash.

trsax08 answered:

You should get rid of all of the non damaging attacks like bulk up and confuse ray. If you can raise all of your pokemon to level 60. Teach gyrados hyper beam and an ice attack unstead of secret power and raindance. Dont evole pikachu until it is at level 60. Teach it shock wave instead of thunder wave. Swellow is preety good except you should have taught it endeavor. You still have hope though. Try to find a heartscale and talk to someone in fallarbor town and he will ask you if you have one. say yes and pick swellow. then search around the list of attacks and pick endeavor. Get solarbeam and teach it to groudon. Get rid off cut and teach it solarbeam. There is one in the safari zone and one if you surf down mt pyre and bring a grass pokemon and talk to the girl.

Helperman answered:

I think that you should have a more balanced team. I mean, you have three flying type pokemon. Try having an Absol or Slaking. It might take a while, but it would be worth it in the end.

folken226 answered:

You should try to get all your Pokemon to Level 50... or 60 even if you could... Just helpin... and hope it works.

Goldensnitch719 answered:

Your team is really good but still it has some weaknesses. You should buy full restores, max revives super potions max potions etc. and when your best pokemon faints send out a pokemon you can afford to have damage done to and revive it.

Sceptile Rules answered:

Your team is perfict just LvL up To 55 At least.

nil_las answered:

For Groudon get rid of bulk up and slash and make it learn solarbeam, because Groudon's Drought can make solarbeam attack quickly. But not when it hails and stuff. Also have an ice pokemon on the field just in case. And I suggest You train your lv.40+ to at least lv.55.

Hope this helps!

Goldensnitch719 answered:

With Grodoun lose bulk up and teach it solarbeam.

PIKACHU CAN ONLY EVLOVE WITH A THUNDERSTONE NO OTHER WAY.

Use solarbeam to beat the lady with ghost pokemon and use fire blast to beat the first person's bug and grass pokemon. Train Gyrados some more at Sky Pillar or somewhere and use hydro pump and water moves on Steven's (the champion) steel pokemon. If Gyrados faints if you did'nt train it enough then use fire type moves. Your sceptile can probaly take out the ladies ice pokemon

HotshotGroudon202 answered:

To have the biggest chance of winning, have at least two level 70 pokemon or have a kyogre (at least level 55) learn surf and ice beam. Nothing will stop you. Groudon is also very good because it can beat everyone in the elite four exept Drake. Use dragon or ice on him.
