Ok first thing you should always know is that you must train you starter first to be the stronger and your team I would rate it 6/10 train more amd more to be stronger

They need levelling up slightly, and those moves are terrible to be honest.

Azumaril: Loose rock smash and dive. Get a stat raising move, and maybe another water type.

Pikachu: Thunder's accuracy is poor, I wouldn't reccomend it. Also, get rid of quick attack! To replace that, get shock wave or something.

Absol: loose hyper beam, the PP is low and you have to recharge.

Torkoal: Give it the item white herb, then you can keep overheat. If not, loose it. When the opportunity comes, get earthquake.

Swellow: loose Swellow. If you're going to have a flying type, make it a dragon like Flygon or Salamance. If you insist on keeping it, loose wing attack for steel wing.

Sceptile: Loose cut, bullet seed and quick attack. Get solarbeam, sunny day and a stat rasing move.

You must understand that HMs are useless. You can get a Pokemon out of the PC anytime you need to use a HM, don't teach them to your main party. Also, moves like hyper beam, thunder aren't really good. They may be powerful, but the PP is too low, and are innacurate.

I would rate it a 6/10.

Aeon-Flux answered:

Azumarill lvl37: Pretty good, might want to change Rock Smash with a better move like Hydro Pump.

Pikachu lvl38: Good choice, but maybe better if you give it a Thunderstone to let it be stronger, it would be worth to evolve your Pikachu.

Absol lvl38: Another great choice, but teach it Aerial Ace, it would be a great move for your absol to learn, and it will hit the foe Pokemon everytime.

Torkoal lvl38: It would be best to change for another Pokemon, Torkoal isn't very strong, Torkoal mainly goes for defense instead of anything else, but Torkoal is a great defense so maybe to keep it.

Swellow lvl38: Really good, great to use for flying to other towns the best, it's better to know the best moves it can, like Aerial Ace, try teaching it the move and this Pokemon may show improvement to you.

Sceptile lvl38: A great Pokemon to have, but only stands for HP, you would probaly been best with Blaziken or Swampert, but Sceptile has great moves, you need to get Spectile to learn Solarbeam, delete the move cut once you teach it Solarbeam, the better the moves the better Spectile will be.

Overall Team Rating: 9/10

camperjr answered:

You might want to train them to lv 45 or beyond.
