Question for Pokemon Ruby

How and where do you get the secret power so that you can enter the trees that say if some of these vines drop down this tree can be climbed?

First you go to mauvill and use rock smash to break the rocks that block youre way. Then go all the way up untile you meet this kid at a big tree. Then talk to the boy and he will give you secretpower

Talk to the lad by the large tree north of the Desert on Route 111. After that and your acquisition of TM10 (Hidden Power), the two moves will be available at the Slateport Market.
