I'm hoping someone reading this can tell me how to get through the guys locked door in Lilycove City.

Some people say that there is a chance of about 1 in 1000000 of finding his wife in a small pink boat anywhere in the ocean and she will give you the key to open the door. Behind the door will be a machine that can fuse Pokemon together. But I don't believe what those people say.
