Really all personal preference. I would say Blaziken, personally, because it looks the best and has that fire/fight typing. Really worked well for me during my multiple playthroughs of the game.
It also affects diffuculty.
Treeko=Good against first gym but bad against Team Magma.Midway choice.Fortree gym will give a lot of trouble unless you get another high leveled pokemon.
Mudkip=Good against first gym and good against Team Aqua.Probally worst choice since it's usefullness lackens later on.
Torchic=Weak against first gym but probally best choice.Has a wide variety of moves.
the only good pokemon is swampert
swampert for sure ive played thruoght the game hundreds and iv always done best with him
I say trecko because he can easily defect the rock type or mudkip can do the same, but it's really up to you on what you wanting to choose.
Mudkip,Definitly Mudkip. Go for Mudkip. Just choose Mudkip. How many times have I said Mudkip?
