Question for Pokemon Ruby

Got Pokemon ruby and I have read other questions saying you can get Latias as well as Latios on something called Southern Island could you tell me if this is true? and where is it?

It's true that you can get Latias on Ruby, and Latios and Sapphire by going to Southern Island, but to get there, you need an Eon Ticket. To get that, you need an Eon Reader.

You can also get the Eon ticket by mixing records with someone who already has the Eon ticket (I did that with my friend and I know it works), and by getting it in an E-reader.

Note: Southern Island is a one time only trip you cannot go back, so make sure you have Pokeballs so you can catch Latias/Ruby or Latios/Sapphire
