First,you have to find the Ruby and Sapphire in LeafGreen.The Sapphire is on island 5,the Ruby is on Island 1.

Go to one island after beating the elite four. Celio will ask you to find a gem. Look for a cave on mount ember and beat the rockets. Now go through it. The ruby will be at the end. Then go to four island using the rainbow pass and clear team rocket out of icefall cave. Go to six island and go to the dotted hole. Just follow the track. DON'T surf. Now cut in front of the door with braile on it. Drop down the holes and follow the braile instructions. A scientist will steal the sapphire. Now go to the Rocket warehouse and enter the passwords. Beat all of the rockets and the scientist to get the sapphire. Return to Celio. Now you can trade with Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and XD.
