Question for Pokemon LeafGreen

Ok, I have a problem. On my leafgreen, I have an action replay. Usually the Pokemon encounter codes work just fine. But when I wanted to encounter Feraligatr, I was a attacked not by a Feraligatr, but by a black circle with a big ? In it. It's like the picture for Pokemon you haven't seen yet in the pokedex in Ruby and Sapphire and Emerald. What is that? Should I catch it? Or is it a MissingNo? Please help!!!

It's the ? Unown. Don't use Action Replay devices. They screw up your game and prove you are mediocre at games. You're not going to get amazing if you use one.

That big black circle is Missingno. I was told that there is 3 different forms of Missingno in Pokemon Firered and Leafgreen. One of the them is safe to catch but the others could mess up your game. The one with one ? Is dangerous to catch. I don't know which one of the others is safe. To make sure you don't find it again, double check that you typed in the code correctly.

I believe it's either MissingNo or a bad egg-type deal, but never had it happen, so I'm just guessing here. You might want to be careful of catching it-especially to send to the PC since it could wipe it out! It could be harmless or useless or not, but I'd be real careful about messing with it...does it happen every time with him only? Then it could be a code problem.

If it happpened once or not every time it may be you need to blow dust out of your equipment or clean it. If you do attempt to catch, leave room in your party and check him out immediately after you catch him so you know what's up and can turn it off asap if needed.

Hope this helps somewhat. Good luck! Just please be careful-curiousity killed the cat and some GBA games, too!
