Hi, i'm going to be getting Leaf Green very soon, which Pokemon is the best one to choose at the start of the game?

My advise would be to choose the one you want. I chose Bulbasaur and found him very helpful in seven of the gyms if you wanted to know. But it's totally up to you.

Bulbasaur-charmander-squirtle
Whichever starter is useful in it's own special way

Venusaur (Grass/Poison)
Weaknesses: fire, ice, psychic, flying
Resistances: rock, ground, water
worst enemies: charizard (fire/flying), xatu (psychic/flying), jynx (ice/psychic)

Charizard (Fire/Flying)
Weaknesses: water, thunder, rock
Resistances: grass, steel, fighting, bug
worst enemies: lanturn (water/thunder), blastoise (water)

Blastoise (Water)
Weaknesses: thunder, grass
Resistances: fire, rock, ground

worst enemies: venausaur (grass/poison), lanturn (water/thunder)

I would say charmander, but they're all pretty good so just choose the one you want.

Bulbasaur is balanced, Squirtle is the strongest, and Charamander is the fastest.
