Well the only thing that I can think of it your game has gone bad. If you were using an Action Replay on it you might be able to fix the problem by starting a new game. More then likely though you'll have to just buy a new Pokemon Leaf Green.

I have the same problem due to action replay but when I open my pc my game makes a deafening metallic screech. Someone please help me.

Definitely late, but you probably have a bootleg game. Those crash all the time
