You can't catch a growlith in Pokemon leafgreen, you have 2 trade one from firered. To catch Articuno without a masterball is just like catching any other pokemon! You have to weaken it first, then throw an Ultra ball at it! That's how I caught it!

You can't get growlith in leaf green. Also, get a Pokemon with sleep powder and a level 45-55 pokemon. Then,go and make his health at least to a pinch of red health then put it to sleep. Finally, keep throwing ultra balls at it till you capture it.

Team_Freinds answered:

You can't catch growlith in leafgreen..but for Articuno you can acutly catch it with a pokeball after you weaken it. Articuno is to only Lendary you can catch with a pokeball.
