Question for Pokemon FireRed

I am up to misty. What are the best Pokemon to get before it's to late?(by to late I mean that I'm up to the elite four or something)
P.S I've already completed Ruby,Leafgreen and emerald

Depends on your Starter....

Misty is weak against electric and grass....her Pokemon is only level 21....so it's not too late to change for a better pokemon..

Pikachu will do good to Misty....a level 23-25 pikachu...

Just for Misty, you might want a Starmie of your own! It can learn Thunderbolt by TM, and seriously, don't tell me that it sucks on Starmie. Starmie is a very feared Pok�mon if you play Competitive Pok�mon.

Some good ones to catch and then Evolve are:

Gastly. Evolve to Haunter and Trade WITH ANYBODY SO IT EVOLVES INTO GENGAR.

Dratini. Evolve to Dragonair and then Dragonite at Level 55.

Aerodactyl. Revive Old Amber at Cinnabar Island Pok�mon Lab.

Well if you started with Charmander I would say:
Charmander
Butterfree(really helpful early on)
Mankey
And Pikachu(Will beat Misty)
And for the opther two use the same pokemon.

First of all not CHARAZARD I have one and I'm at the elete 4 and stuck.Bulbsar is the best

Don't worry about the *best* Pokemon because Misty is only the second gym leader
