Ok so I have gotten the ruby and have went into the rocket hideout but I can't get to the scientist in the hideout.

Your stuck finding your way to to the scientist? I'don't get you?
Go to island 4 and save lorelie in the ice fall cave, then go to the Dotted Hole on island six, after use Cut in front of the door. To navigate inside: go to the middle,top,left,right and down. After getting the Sapphire the scientist will steal it from you, then you will be able to get inside the Rocket Warehouse on island 5.
