Question for Pokemon FireRed
I've beat the game now i'm trying to breed but i'm having a hard time!!When I go to the old man to see how they are doing it always says"The two don't seem to like each other much!!What does it mean?If you can answer please??

It is hard to find a pair of Pokemon that actually like each other, but however much they dislike each other, it does not effect the breeding. A male and female of the same Pokemon will always breed, no matter what they think of each other. Just keep running around and going different places then coming back to the daycare center, and eventually, the old man will be standing outside the fence. Talk to him and he will give you the egg.

It means that it will take longer for them to breed. So go and train, beat the Elite Four a couple times and come back. They should have an egg waiting for you. Also A pokemon's nature affects who they like. And different Pokemon like to breed with certain pokemon.

It means that arn't compatable
For example- they might be two males
Try using a ditto because they are compatable with every Pokemon that has a gender.

It's means you're trying to breed two incompatible pokemon. I suggest trying to breed using Ditto. Ditto can and will breed with any Pokemon (except for Legendary ones). Ditto will even breed with male gender pokemon.

Ok heres how it is:
They seem to like playing with other pokemon: No chance of having an egg.
They don't like eachother much: Small chance of having an egg.
They both seem to like eachother: Big chance of having an egg.
They like eachother a lot: 100% Chance of having an egg.

It means that your Pokemon aren't capable of breeding together. Try different combos of Pokemon until you get a pair that has the potential to breed together.

All the folks that say they won't breed are wrong. "They don't seem to like each other much" only means that the odds of them producing an egg every 256 steps is very low; according to one calculation it is less than 20%. Which means that you will, on average, get one egg every five cycles, or one egg every 1280 steps.
My recommendation is to, if possible, obtain a pokemon of the same species from a friend. Pokemon of the same species with different Trainer ID Numbers will like each other best; and a little time will see A LOT more eggs!
