Question for Pokemon FireRed

Hi.

I recently bought fire red after playing leaf green.

Is this game exactly the same as leaf green (besides from the pokemon you can't get from leaf green)And which of the 3 starter pokemon does anyone reccommend for me to use.

I suggest Charmander because it is the stongest fir etype in the game.

I would suggest Charmander too, because at the start Charmander is kind of weak, but towards the end he gets a lot stronger.

Pick Squirtle as he does pretty well in Pokémon League and the Gyms. But, of course, use your favorite. If you use your favorite, it will be easy.
