Question for Pokemon FireRed

I've got a level 16 Eevee and he just won't evolve into a Espeon or Umbreon!

His happiness according to Daisy Oak is "beyond words" (odviously I have done the Elite Four and am able to catch Gold/Silver Pokemon too) can anyone help me!!!

you can't Evolve Eevee into Espeon and Umbreon in Pokemon FR/LG using time. I'm not exactly sure how to do it but for some reason there is no "time" in this game.

The first and third answerers are blatantly and egregiously wrong (if this was a question referring to Gold, Silver, or Crystal, they would be right but not have given sufficient information).

All versions following Ruby do not have any daylight cycle, although Ruby and Sapphire do have generalised chronological events and tracks. In Ruby and later versions, you will have to import Espeon and Umbreon from Colosseum.

No, actually your wrong because he means by saying he can catch GOLD / SILVER pokemon that he is on the Islands after the Elite Four on FR/LG. I think you got mixed up thinking he meant he had GOLD/SILVER versions.
