Most people already no this but for some of thoughs who do not I just thought would let you know that your starter is also kind of like a difficult setting, Bulbasaur = easy, Squirtle = medium, Charmander = difficult.
Also that your starter in this game determines the legendary dog that you will be avalible to catch after you defeat the elite four.
Charmander=Suicune
Squitle=Raiku
Bulbasaur=Entie
