When searching around Hoenn, you may encounter a Pokemon that has a different color than it normally does. This is known, as a shiny pokemon. These Pokemon have no special qualities, and no status increasions. The only thing that's good about them, is that there is only a 1/8291 chance that you will encounter this type of pokemon. ANY Pokemon can be found shiny, including the starters. Good luck out there, Pokemon trainers.
