How to Complete the Sawmill Puzzle

One of the first puzzles you will encounter in Far: Changing Tide is the Sawmill Puzzle. This How to Complete the Sawmill Puzzle guide will tell you how to solve it.

Step 1: Find the Lever

When you first encounter the sawmill puzzle you need to leave your ship an head up the funnel blocking your path. Inside the building you will find a switch that will remove the blockage. When you try to use the switch it will break and in order to fix it you need to go and fetch the repair box which can be found on the next floor up. You will then find that you are unable to jump that high.

Step 2: Repair the Broken Lever

What you need to do to get around this problem and acquire the repair box is go out onto the open platform to the right of the first room and hit the button that is there. Doing this will make the saw above try to cut the wood. In order for it to do so you must first use the nearby lever to move the wood into place. Then position the wood so that the saw is able to cut through the middle of it, at the point between the two pieces of metal. Once you have done this you need to saw the wood in half by pressing the button. A piece of wood will then drop to the floor in front of you. Use the apparatus that is nearby to gather the wood and then place it into the first room you entered. You will then be able to jump on the wood to reach the floor above and acquire the repair box. Return to the broken lever once you have the repair box in your possession and fix it by holding it near to the lever. Once the lever is fixed you will be able to free your boat. Make sure when you return to your boat you take the repair box with you so you have it when you need it.
