Learn the Character Movesets

Each of the characters in Divine Knockout plays differently, and it is important that you understand their strengths and weaknesses so you are able to use them effectively and efficiently during battles. The moveset of each of the characters is made up of four categories, these are:

- Two light attacks

- Two heavy attacks

- Dodge

- Special ability

Once you become familiar with the moveset of a character you will be able to string together devastating combos and have a feel as to when the optimal time is to unleash them on your foes to deal the most damage.

Return to the Arena

When your character takes damage in Divine Knockout you will receive a higher vulnerability %. This basically means that enemies will have an easier time knocking you off the map. One of the best skills you can learn is knowing exactly how to return to the arena even if you are at the brink of elimination. In order to do this you need to learn how to take advantage of your character's movement ability by utilizing dashes, light, and heavy attacks to increase the distance you travel.

Understand your Abilities

Make sure you know how your character's abilities work and understand when the best time is to unleash them before you enter real combat in Divine Knockout. Keep in mind that your strongest abilities can be interrupted by the enemy while you charge them up which means you need to use them wisely.

Play the Objective

In order to be successful in Divine Knockout you need to focus on playing the objective. This means always paying attention to what is happening around the map and the goals of each round. Knowing what you should be doing is especially important if you are playing as part of a team in modes such as Coin Blitz and King of the Hill.

Take Advantage of the Stage

Combat in Divine Knockout takes place in an arena that has a drop to permanent death on all sides. It is therefore crucial in order to survive that you have spatial awareness of the stage. You must be aware at all times exactly where you are and where you need to move and how far. You also need to know where to push enemies to the ledge, so you put them into a tight situation. When you do this you will force the enemy to split their focus between winning the fight and staying alive and trying to regain space. This gives you the advantage as the enemy has no choice now but to use their attacks, movement skills and abilities to get back into the arena.
