Regardless if you win or lose you will be rewarded with a single Crucible Token after every Crucible match. These tokens can then be taken to Lord Shaxx in the Farm (or Tower after you complete the story) who will when you have given him enough to level him up will redeem them for a Legendary piece of equipment.

The piece of Legendary equipment you recieve as a reward will always be five levels higher than your current Power Level, up to a maximum of 265. To be rewarded a piece of Legendary equipment from Lord Shaxx you will need to give him bewteen 18-20 Crucible Tokens. Taking Crucible Tokens to Lord Shaxx will also increase your Crucible Reputaion.
