What is the Gulag Prison

In Call of Duty: Warzone the Gulag is a prison where if you die during a Battle Royale game you become a prisoner and are taken to the cells where you fight for the chance to return to the battle. Check out our What is the Gulag Prison guide to find out more aout this feature.

Once you have been taken prisoner and enter the Gulag you will find yourself on the perimeter of the fighting arena. It is here where you will have to wait for your turn. If you look in the top left-hand corner of your screen, yoi will find a timer counting down the time until it's your turn to fight. While you are waiting your turn you can spectate fights occuring between other players. When it it's time you will enter into a 1vs1 match with another player who has been defeated on the battlefied to earn the right to revive back in the game. You can only be taken to the Gulag once in a match, if you die a second time the match is over.

Gulag Rules

The following is a list of the rules regarding the 1vs1 match in the Gulag you need to win if you hope to revive back in the game.

• Each round lasts for 40 seconds.

• If both opponents are alive after these 40 seconds ends, then the match will enter overtime (see below).

• The goal is to eliminate your opponent.

• At no point will your health regenerate.

• Your loadout will be random.

Overtime

If after the alloted 40 seconds there is no winner your match will enter overtime where your objective will then be to either capture the flag or kill your opponent before they are able to take the flag themselves. In overtime you have 15 seconds to capture the flag before your opponent. If there is still not a winner after the time has expired the player who has the most health remaining wins the match and returns to the battlefield. If in the unlikely event you both have the same amount of health remaining when overtime has ended, both players return to the game.

Gulag Maps

There are three gulag maps to fight on in Call of Duty: Warzone and each has a different layout. The one which you find yourself on is chosen at random. Below are the layouts of all three Gulags.
