One of the features available in Back 4 Blood is the option to customize your weapon with a cosmetic skin to give it a unique appearance. Unlike other games, Back 4 Blood does not allow you to spend real-world currency on weapon skins, they must instead be earned. Our How to Unlock Weapon Skins Guide will tell you the two different ways this can be done and also how to equip them.
In Back 4 Blood every base-game weapon skin must either be purchased through supply lines or unlocked through Accomplishments.
In Back 4 Blood supply points are earned as a reward when you complete various tasks in the campaign. Then, once the act is over they can be used back at Fort Hope in a system called Supply Lines which works similar to a Battle Pass, unlocking progressively on a track. Some of these rewards that get unlocked will include weapon skins. You will have an opportunity to earn a weapon in every supply line, it may though take a while to unlock.
Back 4 Blood has an Accomplishments system which will reward you with cosmetic items which includes weapons skins when you complete certain challenges. These challenges though can only be completed in multiplayer co-op and can be time-consuming. A typical challenge will be to get a specific number of kills using a particular weapon.
The only other way in which you would have been able to get weapon skins in Back 4 Blood was by pre-ordering Back 4 Blood before it was released. Those players who ordered where thanked with the Fort Hope Elite Weapon Skin Pack which added a military-green camouflage skin for the M4 Rifle, 870 Express Shotgun, Uzi SMG, and LMG RPK.
Weapon skins in Back 4 Blood can be equipped by talking to the NPC in the tent that is near the gun range. It is here you will also be able to view any weapon skins you have not yet unlocked.
