Beginners Tips and Tricks

Listed below are several Beginner Tips and Tricks which will help you to progress quickly through Back 4 Blood.

Don't Disturb the Birds

Whenever you see a flock of birds, you need to make sure you do not disturb them, as doing so will result in them descending on you and calling the horde. When you encounter a flock of birds, you have the choice to either walk away (if you run, you will alert them), or to creep past them by crouching. When you crouch in Back 4 Blood, you will lower the amount of sound you make. If you shoot at the birds, your squad will end up using plenty of bullets.

Don't Set Alarms Off

It is not just the birds that will raise the horde, you also need to be careful that you don't set off any alarms. Avoid opening doors that have security alarm warnings on them, you need to shoot or melee these to shards to open them without setting off the alarm. Be careful when you are on the street that you don't shoot a vehicle, as this can lead to a car alarm cutting through the silence and make zombies within earshot converge on your location.

Always Carry a Tool Kit

Make sure someone on your squad has at least one Tool Kit when you are restocking at the Safe Room store. The reason this item is so important is that they will allow you to open up locked doors or caches, which always contain a decent amount of ammo and contains other useful items that will help you to survive in the game.

Communicate with your Squad

In order to survive, it is crucial that you always stick with your squad and continually communicate with each other. As well as covering each other's backs, you can share ammo and other consumables and even heal and resurrect each other if things don't go quite to plan. If you get separated from your squad and find yourself downed or incapacitated miles from them, you are as good as dead. Make sure everyone in your squad is aware of any developments by always talking through card selections and other purchases.

Don't Forget to Spend your Supply Points

In Back 4 Blood, you will earn supply points as a reward when you complete various tasks in the campaign. Make sure when you head back to Fort Hope afterwards that you don't forget to spend your supply points. Supply points is the currency used in Back 4 Blood, and they are used in a system called Supply Lines which works similar to a Battle Pass, unlocking progressively on a track. Each Supply Line is unique, with a series of eight unlockable rewards. These rewards include cards for your deck, Cleaner skins, and other customization options for your character.

Earn Additional Supply Points

If you are card collecting, keep an eye out for enemy-played cards that are actually optional objectives which you can complete to earn additional supply points as a reward. These optional objectives can be anything from finding some supplies and carrying them to the next safe house to ensuring all your squad survives the act.
