10 Things We'd Like To See In Pokemon 4th Generation Remakes

New Champion

Should the Pokemon Company favor my first two ideas and thus have a more sequel plot in the 4th Generation Remakes with a couple of brand new Gym Leaders, then I think they should definitely proceed with having a different League Champion this time around. Nothing against Cynthia, who is one of the better champions ever created in the Pokemon Franchise, but it would only make sense that as time has passed, a new champion has since been crowned. This was seen in the sequel of Pokemon Emerald when Wallace was the champion instead of Steven, as well as within Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 when Iris was champion rather than Alder. Cynthia had a nice run as the Sinnoh Region Champion, having been used as an additional character in many games after she was, but it is high time for a new champion to be crowned. (Cynthia could still be used and seen within the 4th Generation Remake, just with a lesser role.)

When it comes to being the newest champion, a number of characters come to mind. The first, obviously, is Flint, one of the original members of the Sinnoh Elite Four. If you don’t know, Flint actually defeated Cynthia in the Sinnoh League Tournament back during the 4th Generation Anime, so him being champion would help to further connect the Anime Series to the Mainstream Games Series of the Pokemon Franchise. Lucian also makes a lot of sense as the Sinnoh Champion, as he was the final member of the Sinnoh Region Elite Four. From there, you would have to image Volkner could be in the mix for such a title, being the best Gym Leader and all (like Iris had been in Pokemon White). The Pokemon Company, if they really wanted to, could even introduce a brand new character to the game as the newest Champion.
