10 Essential Console Games for 2016

2016 has been an absolutely huge year for the video gaming industry. 2015 was definitely no easy act to follow with such titles as Star Wards Battlefront, Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Halo 5, and Metal Gear Solid V, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Batman Arkham Knight, Mortal Kombat X, and Battlefield Hardline. 2015 was enormous with respects to bit title releases and while 2016 has not projected a list with such wide scale popularity, the titles expected to release this year will all be widely anticipated. In no particular order, this year we have the following to watch out for:

1. Hitman

Simply entitled “Hitman” a la “Rambo” or “Rocky”, where several sequels down the line, developers get the inclination to confuse fans with the nomenclature, Hitman is looking to capture much of the charm of the original games and bring a new story element to players with some truly innovative features. The game has been released to Steam for PC users in several episodes, each featuring a $15 price tag, while the retail version is expected to launch at a fairly standard $60 price tag. In Hitman, players are encouraged to thinking critically when planning assassinations. It is encouraged to interact with non-playable characters to determine where and how one might be able to reach the target. You have the choice of going with a classic long-distance sharpshooter approach; you can incapacitate a guard and disguise yourself in their clothing to get close enough for a garrote or a blade weapon attack. One can also rig explosives to eliminate the target. Players are advised to use each available resource to plan and execute the assassinations. Assassinations are set in Japan, France, Italy, and Morocco and each locale will provide opportunity to explore differing strategy.
