9. Mass Effect: Andromeda

The fourth installment in the franchise, this game takes a step away from the previous storyline and stands on its own story, and does so very well. This game takes place long after the events of the first three Mass Effect games. The main protagonist, Ryder, is designated as a “pathfinder” attempting to find a new planet for the Human race to colonize. This game features an open world environment and several other new elements not previously found in Mass Effect titles such as the new customizable six wheeled buggy vehicle that players are able to use. Things have not strayed entirely too far from the original, however, as players are still able to select dialogue and choose their interactions with others, as well as explore planets and such. This game is purported to have some of the best looking graphics of any console game upon its release. We're all anxiously awaiting to see how true this holds.
