ANSWERS

 
With all skylanders characters, once their life bar runs out during a level, the game says they need to rest. Once this happens, that character cannot be used for the rest of that level and will become available again in three ways:
1. Finish the level using a different character.
2. Restart the level.
3. Exit the level and return to the ruins.

Skylander do not have a certain ammount of time for them to rest go back to the ruins and your skylander should be good as new!

That is lie (on 360 at least) retart levle, finnish levle with other charater(s),or retern to ruines to get skylander(s) back APLIES FOR ALL SKYLANDERS

You can't use him again until you're done with the level so you can either restart the level or change into somebody else.
