If you are playing on Skylanders Spyro's Adventure, then only old or reposed skylanders will work. The ones that will not work are: The giants, Shroomboom, Chill, Flashwing, Jet-Vac, Hot Dog, Pop Fizz, Fright Rider, and Sprocket.
