I think you have to jump on to an elevator or a platform then shoot a block down to destroy it. Hope this helps.

Either that or you go the thing where the grappel hook target is take that up to the platform and shoot the big engine block thing down off the wall it will fall and break the chunk of floor that is keeping c3po from crossing.
