Final Boss hints and tips for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Final Boss

Yeah, I know. Everyone's done this already but I felt like okay?

First up, if you're a Zelda noob, or you just suck at this game, here are some things you may want to have:

1. All bottles filled with faries and blue potion.

2. Make sure that you have full arrows or an upgraded quiver so you don't have to restock during the fight.

3. If you can get your hands on the Magic Armor that's great.

4. Make sure that you are good at horseback riding.

5. All of the hidden skills.

Okay, now onto the fight.

Phase 1.

The first phase of this battle pits you against Zelda floating around the throne room. She has three attacks. First, she'll summon up a glowing triangle that will surge electricity into your body. As soon as she raises her sword make sure that you roll or backflip out of the way. This does one heart of damage and will gat bigger after you hit her once. She will also try to dive into you with her sword. This does half a heart and is fairly easy to avoid: just roll out of the way. Eventually she will summon a ball of energy from her sword and you will have to continuosly have to hit it back at her. There is no set number of times she hits back and the attack does one heart. Three hits and she goes down.

Phase 2.

That is one giant pig. Why does it have sleeves? Ah well. This boss may look huge, but the previous bosses have taught us not to be decieved. This is that part that I said you would need arrows in so take out your bow. As soon as Ganon is done destroying pillars he's going to charg at you so get ready to shoot that big white stone in his forehead. He's going to slide when he goes down so watch out. When he skids to a halt, run around him and smack the big wound on his chest. Two regular slashes and a Great Spin are great here. Now, as you aim your bow... Gasp! He dissappeared! He's probably going to try to fall on you so watch out for that. If he doesn't try to squish you then Ganon is probably going to come out of one of those red portals popping up around the room. Once one of the portals turns blue, aim for the center; a familiar face is going to charge out. Shoot him, run to his belly and hack. Next time though, he'll dodge the arrow you shoot so turn into a wolf and get ready. This time when he comes out, flashback to the goat wrestling you did when you were a rancher. When the icon appears at the bottom of the screen, hit A and wrestle him to the ground. Then Z-target his tummy and latch on for some damage. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Phase 3.

Oooh. A horse battle! This'll be fun! NOT! Try to get behind Ganondorf as fast as possible or you'll be usin' those potions pretty fast. As soon as you get in range, Z-target him and let Zelda charge her light arrows. She will miss if you are turning or at too much of an angle. Ganondorf might try to summon ghost riders(no, not from marvel) who hone in on you. These can be hard to dodge. Once Zelda hits hime, spur Epona twice and let out a spin attack before Ganondorf recovers. Four times and he goes down.

Final Battle. Geez, the last time we had a sword fight with Ganon was... Never.

He is a super duper darknut. Use backslice on him to get to his back. Make sure to change directions so he doesn't figure out your pattern. If he jumps into the air, run away. Jump slices aren't a good idea ever. You might be able to get in a mortal draw if you can get that close. He'll charge you if your to far away, and that hurts because you can't block it. I f you are just the right distance from him though, you will enter the oppurtunity to start a "chance". Basicly, when the icon appears, tap A once to enter the mini-game. This is a classic mash-the-button-tll-your-finger-falls-off kinda thing. When you finally overpower Ganondorf, you can get in a few cheap hits on him. Oh yeah, and you can also wave the fishing rod around him to get a few hits in. Eventually you knock him on his back. You have only a few seconds to use the finishing move on him before he gets up. Once you hit that final A button, you win.
