Stand near the cat and use your fishing rod to catch a fish. If done correctly the cat will return. If it doesn't work, try moving to a slightly different spot and try again.

Talk to pregnant woman (Uli) near stream. She's missing her cradle. Climb vines near pumpkin patch and jump across rocks to second set of hawk grass and use hawk to get cradle from monkey on rock in creek.
Carry cradle back to Uli and she'll give you fishing rod.
Go to where Sera's cat is looking into water and catch 2 fish.
