Help please I'm stuck

I know what I need to do but I don't know how to do it...i didnt pick up the lantern after the monkey dropped it and I went back but it's not on the ground anywhere and I can't go back to that guy because the only way to get through the fog is with the monkey and the monkeys gone and so is my lantern. How do I get a lantern?

Man...i don't think anybody can help out...you just found a game glitch...start over...it isnt that far from the beginning anyways.

Go back to the guy who sold you the lantern and see if you can get a new one hope I helped please rate me p.s. Don't restart the game like that guy said if you haven't already
