After you open an adventure pack and put the castle or ship on the portal, the game will tell you what you must do. If you missed this instruction...
Putting the adventure castle or ship on the portal will create a new level in the game that you can play NOW. You don't have to get past the lair of Kaos. The Pirate Seas pack will add a ship down at the docks. Go the the ship and hit Y (on the XBOX) and then "accept" to do the Pirate Adventure. The Darklight Crypt will add a Skull like location at the far back left side of the Ruins, where you go to get into the Darklight Crypt. The EMPIRE OF ICE will create a ICE castle out in the water. GO to the beach then out in the water and go to the far left. You must use either a WATER skylander, or a FLYING skylander to get there. ONCE Inside, you can use ANY skylander to do the adventure. DRAGONS PEAK will place a orange Dragon shaped HORN on top of the small hill at the far left edge of the RUINS. Go to it and hit Y, then accept. A Friendly dragon will come by and you will "jump on his back" automatically to fly off and do the adventure.
