Is there any way to get a scratch out of a PS3 skylanders disk?

Some music and electronics stores sell a gizmon that supposedly will remove scratches. After using it the disk will appear to have millions of little tiny scratches and NOT be shiny anymore. However, if the current disk is ruined, it is worth a try. I have one and it has successfully "fixed" some of my scratched disks. This is not 100% of the time. Some disks are SO badly scratched there is nothing that can be done. You might try contacting ACTIVISION SUPPORT. They might have a way to send you a replacement disk. Http://support.activision.com They have a way to request a replacement disk online.

Depending on the scratch occasionally I find simply cleaning the disc (any type of disc for that matter) with toothpaste will help. Warning, the toothpaste must NOT have any particles, both paste and gel work so long as they don't have pieces of whitening strips or sparkles or whatnot in them. Rub the toothpaste in from the center to the outside of the disc. Do NOT rub around in circles, center to edge only. Then rinse lightly using your fingers to rub off the toothpaste (in the same center to edge pattern). Dry with a microfiber or VERY soft clean cloth (so as not to scratch the disc more).
This works depending on the severity of the scratch. It's usually worth a try before buying expensive equipment.
