How to perform Backup and Restore of your PS Vita Data via PC

It is important to have a backup of your PS Vita’s Data. You may never know when your data may become corrupted or in the event that you may have accidentally formatted your memory card.

Note: Please make sure that the Content Manager Assistant is running on your PC before you perform the actual Backup and Restore. You can download the Content Manager Assistant for the PC and Mac OS

How to perform Backup of your PS Vita Data

On your PS Vita Home Screen press “Content Manager”. Press “Start”.

Select “Backup” and then press “Next” (this screen will only appear if you have not synced your Trophies via PSN). Press “Yes”.

Press “Backup” to begin the backup process to you PC.

Wait for the backup process to finish. Do not turn off your PS Vita while in the process of the backup.

Press “OK” to finish.

How to perform Restore of your PS Vita Data

On your PS Vita Home Screen press “Content Manager”. Press “Start”.

Press “Restore” . Select the backup file you want to restore and then press “Next”.

Press “Yes” to continue. Press “Restore” to begin.

Wait for the restore process to finish. Do not turn off your PS Vita while in the process of the restoring your backup.

You may keep the backup file if you want if so press “No”. If you want to delete it press “Yes”. The PS Vita will then automatically restart or you may press "OK" to restart the PS Vita immediately.
