You cannot get a real job, however, there are certain things you can do at the different locations to make simoleons. An example is in Paradise Place, the graveyard in the middle of Paradise Place, you can go to that at nighttime and work there. You progress through five levels, each level making more simoleons. You can go to that every night, however there will be side effects (nausea, bladder, etc.). It is called smack-a-ghoul and is unlocked as soon as you enter Paradise Place and speak to Deputy Duncan.
