Go immediately up the ramp towards the casket, and get him to follow you. Whack him with the spade a few times and throw him towards the casket. Then press the right buttons. It might not work the first time so you'll have to damage him a bit more, then just repeat this until you are able to lock him in.

Make sure you have two finishers and throw him into the casket and steal the last ride by holding L2 and press L1 to steal the move
