I'm stuck at the part in Port Royal where you're on the Interceptor and are fighting the pirates, I think it's called, "Save the Medallion". I know you go after the pirate with the "bubble" over it's head and bring them into the moonlight before attacking them, and I've tried summoning and Valor/Wisdom forms.
Is there some trick to it? Or any kind of tip that will make the battle easier? I've tried this over and over again so many times I'm ready to chuck the thing out the window.
Help please?

I beat it by leveling up past that of the enemies, and using Valor form.
